LDI Report: Penn Medicine Connected Health Symposium
|
PHILADELPHIA -- The field of medicine is rapidly being changed by new digital systems that extend the reach of providers beyond the traditional boundaries of the health care encounter. These technologies can be confusing because of the tangle of names now used to describe them, including telemedicine, telehealth, mobile health, mHealth, eHealth, digital tethering, etc. Nearly a decade ago, Harvard's hospitals began coordinating all of these technologies under a single name: connected health. In that same spirit, the Penn Medicine Center for Health Care Innovation along with the Chief Medical Information Officer and Network Development Office convened the recent University of Pennsylvania's first annual "Connected Health Symposium" to explore the latest developments in this field. Below is a video report comprised of all the presentations from that event.
