Today when 90% of the U.S. population owns a mobile phone, mobile health poses a problem of implementation logistics rather than a technology challenge, Ryan Sysko told a Connected Health Symposium at the University of Pennsylvania. A former insurance executive, Sysko is the CEO of WellDoc, a company he formed with his endocrinologist sister. The phone-based WellDoc system is a daily interactive chronic illness management and patient support system connecting patients, their biometric data and treatment regimens in a feedback loop with their physicians.
