Meet The Architect of Vermont's Single-Payer Plan
PHILADELPHIA -- In 2011, going against the grain of everything else being done in healthcare reform planning in 49 states and the federal government, Vermont passed a law creating America's first single-payer health care system. Harvard Economics professor William Hsaio led the team that designed the single-payer plan that Vermont adopted. In this video he discusses the biggest challenges to the implementation of that new system.
